I read this book to a group of first grade students during my first whole group lesson. The lesson I taught was character, setting, and plot and this book was perfect for the lesson. The students loved the book and the rhyming words and illustrations were very engaging and the students seemed to love it. I can use this book during the month of March to give the students examples and visuals of St. Patrick's Day.
